Our favorite flavored spirit, Sailor Jerry Rum hosted the Sailor Jerry House at the Gypsy Lounge from Tuesday to Saturday during the South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival. The week kicked off with a surprise acoustic performance by Kurt Vile. The Dum Dum Girls also performed (and got tattoos) from legendary artist, Oliver Peck who starred on reality show, Ink Masters. Weekend music preview: The Pons | Stereo is a Lie | RJD2 | Big Freedia

The Austin heat this Summer has been relentless. Lucky for music fans, so have the Summer concerts in the Live Music Capital of the World. This weekend is no exception with a combination of national acts like RJD2 and Big Freedia (pronounced FREE-da) and local standouts, Stereo is a Lie and The Pons. Both RJD2 and Big Freedia are Fun Fun Fun Fest veterans returning to Austin presumably because they have a good fan base here.
