Live music review: The Black Keys powered through ACL TV taping Monday

Traditionally bands recording an episode of the Austin City Limits (ACL TV) televison show leave the stage near the end of the performance and return for an encore. The Black Keys intended to do the same but when the set came to a close Monday night band leader, Dan Auerbach shrugged his shoulders and told the crowd they were going to keep going. Live music review: Radiohead ACL TV taping blows away fans

When Radiohead announced their tour stop in Austin at the Frank Erwin Center last year tickets sold-out in minutes. Their subsequent scheduling of an Austin City Limits TV taping only served to hype the indie-rock kings visit to the "Live Music Capital" further. Only the opening ACL TV taping at The Moody Theatre at the W Hotel had as much pre-concert buzz as Radiohead's taping did.
